Prices don't include sales tax; if a CA address, rate is 8.75% (Los Angeles County rate). Out of state taxes don't apply.
MATERIALS: The standard materials used are Premier Traditional canvas with 7/8” stretcher bars, and high quality Winsor and Newton oil paints.
The wood panels are archival hardwood panels by Ampersand, and are good for fine detail and texture, as they have a smooth surface. Panels were frequently used in the Renaissance period, The Mona Lisa being a prime example
PASTELS: "Rembrandt" soft pastels are used. These are excellent quality, with good colorfastness. Archival pastel paper or sanded pastel papers are used. You can upgrade to pastel board. (Pastel drawings can last for centuries, if properly cared for.)
UPGRADES: Upgrades for oil portraits are available for additional cost. (Premier Museum canvas, or Belgian Linen)
OTHER SIZES: Additional sizes are available; contact for quote.
OTHER MEDIUMS: Additional mediums, such as charcoal, or graphite pencil, are available for less cost; contact for quote.
FORMAT: The size or format of the canvas is dependant on clients needs and the proportions of the photo; if it is a head shot, full body, to be cropped, etc. You might know the size you want, or I can help you decide based on what would work best.
SHIPPING: The price depends on the weight, distance, and method. All portraits are carefully wrapped for shipping, and insured.
TERMS: 25% Deposit due before work on portrait begins; the balance is due when the portrait is complete.
CANCELLATIONS: If the order is cancelled before any work has started, the deposit will be returned. If it is cancelled after work commences, the deposit will be kept. If the order is cancelled before work is complete, the client will be charged for amount of work completed. On finished work: I will attempt to make any reasonable changes or alterations to the clients’ satisfaction, but if the client is still not satisfied, there is a cancellation fee to cover materials and time. The portrait must also be returned.
