Before and After Examples:

"Ginger and Gilligan" Oil on Panel, 16" x 20"

The client loved how the original photo showed the dogs closeness, but their faces weren't clear, so I used other photos she specifically took of their faces for the portrait. This also allowed both dogs to look at the viewer.

"My Sweet Prince and Lord Barkington" Oil on Panel, 16" x 20"

This portrait combines both Great Pyrenees dogs and shows their true coloring in a nicer setting, as the original photos didn't have the best backgrounds or lighting, and the client wanted them depicted together.

"Otto" Oil on Canvas, 12" x 12"

This just needed a tonal background, and I lightened up the shadow side to show more detail.

"Stop the Talking" Oil on Canvas, 16" x 20"

The primary photo's colors were off, and the eye was not alert, so I used another shot of her eye, did a tonal background, and added the mane to this side of her neck. Now she looks much more majestic.

"Sophie" Oil on Canvas, 8" x 10"

In this one, I removed the red-eye effect ,added the tip of the ear, and brought out the tones in the dark areas.
